I am convinced that there are some authors that can do anything inside of their writing. they are few and far between but those few I am honored to read are Superhero Storytellers. Lynne Cantwell is one of those authors.

About the author:
Lynne Cantwell has been writing fiction since the second grade, when the kid who sat in front of her showed her a book he had written, and she thought, "I could do that." The result was Susie and the Talking Doll, a picture book illustrated by the author about a girl who owned a doll that not only could talk, but could carry on conversations. The book had dialogue but no paragraph breaks. Today, after a twenty-year career in broadcast journalism and a master's degree in fiction writing from Johns Hopkins University (or perhaps despite the master's degree), Lynne is still writing fantasy. In addition, she is a contributing author at Indies Unlimited and writes a monthly post for The Indie Exchange.

Her books are filled with many myths and lore known by some of the best storytellers in the world.

Native Americans are among the top storytellers in the world in my personal opinion.
Now let's talk about Gravid before the next book comes out. Which I am eagerly anticipating to be just as, if not better than this one. The first two pages are a summary of what happened in the last three books. This is wonderful for me and one of the things I often complain about especially as an avid reader. I often get my books second hand, from friends or online. Sometimes those books are part of a series and every now and then the previous books are not available. Having that short summary that just catches the reader up on the previous books helps a lot.

I can't really tell what happens in this book without giving so much of it away, I will however tell you that I was happy all the way to my toes when I read this book. I even read it twice! That is a very rare thing for me and usually only for authors like Molly Harper, Chloe Neill, Kim Richardson, etc...
Welcome to the repeat club with books so good they earn a repeat read. I love all the characters in this book, even the ones that I hate. I found it hard to put down and even harder to resist picking back up when I had work to do. My advice is if you haven't picked up a novel by Lynne Cantwell, that you run right over to Amazon now and get them, trust me you will love them.

I rated Gravid by Lynne Cantwell 5 out of 5!
