My review:

WOOHOO! That was my response to this book. I was so excited to be able to review it. I was not disappointed either. I loved Sophie and her odd cast of characters that filled her life. I felt bad for her having to go back to high school. There were a few time that I wanted to kick her because as a detective some of her questions seemed to leading to me. Then again I am not a detective and probably have been watching to many cop shows on the television. I was happy though overall and not as shocked as the author would have probably wanted me to be with the ending but I rarely am shocked lol. It took me a bit but by the time I was halfway through I was pretty sure I had figured it out. I read the entire book and smirked when I read the ending lol. Great book!

My Review:

I rated this a 4 because it is very well written and has very well rounded characters. I loved the action and the clues the author blended into the story along the way. The book kept me enthralled through most of the book. I did however have a few issues. This book is being sold as a Paranormal Romance when in actuality it belongs in Christian Paranormal Romance. It has several references to the bible and often, especially towards the end, tries to sway the audience to "get their Jesus on" as my daughter would say. This was the only reason why I marked it off, other wise I could have put aside my personal feelings about the book and moved on.

I had some issues with the content that I could not take off for because they were personal. The author puts witches, alchemists and even ghosts in the story in a way that makes them on the side of evil. I could go on a whole tangent about this, but since this is a book review and not a debate, I will just say I disagree and move on.

The book is one I would recommend to those that are deeply Christian or are wanting to get saved with Christianity. I fell in love with the book early on and pulled through the story despite my dislike of the preachy quality at the end.
