My review:
Rating 4 out of 5
The beginning of the book should have sucked me in, but it took me a few pages to get really into this hot and sexy novel. Once it sucked me in though, *Whew*, Momma needed some ice cubes! Sex wasn't the only message I got out of this book, I realized that I am reading a lot more books about women judging a book by it's cover or the guy by his job. My eyes sped through the book hoping she would learn that it is not about the guys job because that one aspect of him does not make who he is. Just like women are often judged by what we look like on the outside and that doesn't make who we are either. I loved the word play and banter that whipped through the book. The characters may have taken a bit to become whole for me but when they there was steam. Momma likes steam!

RELICS
Most
of Thulu and La Fi's clients are dead. Which is perfect since their detective
agency caters to the supernatural. So, a job finding relics for an ancient
daemon should be simple.
The
daemon needs the relics to keep a dangerous portal closed. His enemy, Gabriel,
wants the relics to open the portal and give his people access to a new feeding
ground – Earth.

humanity with their existence, portals to other worlds begin to open and the
creatures of magic return to Earth.
When
Gabriel threatens their family, Thulu and La Fi's search becomes personal. The

About the Author
After a successful career being other people, and later
teaching others the many tricks of that trade, Maer Wilson has decided to be
herself for a while. Turns out she's a writer. She's always loved stories,
especially fantasy, mystery and sci fi. Maer was born in the Year of the Dragon
and has a dragon-themed room in her home, but sadly no dragons in the back
yard. When she's not writing, Maer plays online video games, teaches college
and reads. She also co-hosts the literary podcast, “MythBehaving” and writes
for two gaming fansites. She lives in the high desert of Southern Nevada with
her two dogs, a chihuahua and a poodle. Relics is her first novel and is
