AD 1022
A stolen woman of rare qualities…
Seized
by marauders and taken to the icy northlands by the wolf-eyed Viking
warrior, Helena will do whatever it takes to earn her freedom and return
to France.
Betrayal
has turned Hakan’s heart to ice, but the spirited Frankish maid warms
him in a way he’s never known. The spell she weaves leaves them both
breathless, but can he keep his promise to return her home even if it
means he’ll lose his precious jewel forever?
I loved that this story had a strong woman and that she wanted her freedom. The very manly counterpart of this story at first irritated me, but I grew to love him. He is one of those men that wants to adhere to the old ways but loves her so much that he starts to bend. The time that this story was supposed to have taken place left me a bit scared because it was very much a man's world. I loved that the author took away the stuffy old fashioned language and put it into something those of us that sometimes just love a love story, could understand. If you love an old fashioned love story with a bit of Viking in it, then this is the book for you!

Have a great day!
