Hello everyone and happy Monday!

Lets start this blog off with the information that new people, so they understand how this works. Every Monday I either pick a word or take a word that someone else has given me and search the erotic section ( and sometimes other sections) of Amazon kindle books. I pick 5 titles ( usually) because they are either funny or cause me to think something funny after reading them. Then I post them here with my initial thoughts for everyone to enjoy.

The second set of information is for AUTHORS. If you see your book here, please do not be offended. It has nothing to do with your book and more to do with my strange sense of humor. I do not include your name or buy links in order to keep it focused on the humor and not on your work. Should you see your book, or worry that I may pick your book, please do not send me messages or comment on how awful I am for doing it. Honestly this is all in fun and in no way intended to hurt you. I know that this can be exposure for you book and that is a good thing.

This week's list is all about fifty shades of... I inserted this into the search bar and was shocked to see that 1686 titles appeared. Now not all of them were ones where the author has jumped on the bandwagon of the Fifty Shades series but actually had something to do with BDSM. So I chose a few out of the hundreds to share with you. Now I am not going to comment on these individually as I normally would on my WTF Monday editions but I am going to comment here and there and put in a final word at the end. There are also 10 this week instead of five. So here is your list:
  1. Fifty Shades of Snow White (Snow white is a color if you add a shade to it, it is no longer snow white! For Pete's sake I learned that in elementary art!)
  2. Fifty Shades of Black (White Wives of The Black Orchid)
  3. Fifty Shades of Gay, Erotic Thriller
  4. Fifty Shades of Blue
  5. Fifty Shades of Shade - "The Fifty Shades of Grey Parody" (This had me rolling with laughter. I would probably read this just to laugh some more)
  6. Fifty Shades of Crimson
  7. A Coupla Shades of Taupe: A Parody (What's a coupla?)
  8. Fifty Shades of Pink - Two Pigs, Lots of Dirt (pigs.. in dirt...oink-oink)
  9. 50 SHADES OF RED: Doctor Knows Best (XXX Stories)
  10. Fifty Shades of Beige: A Different Kind of Love

Well we have a rainbow! Unless I am writing a fanfic ( which I would never do) I would not use someone's title, even if I changed the words. But I had fun counting the amount of reds, blues, and a plethora of other colors that have used the title for their own works. My personal opinion is that picking a title is hard and it should reflect the work you have written and if you are using your take on someone's title other than your own then your story then I as a reader am going to wonder how original the story is. Not that every story is ever 100% original! I mean you can only say "he thrust his throbbing member into my wet sex" so many different ways. I am sure it has been repeated several times, sometimes in the same paragraph!

Anyway I know this list is not as funny as some other but I promise that next weeks will be hilarious. Please pass this blog around to your friends and encourage them to comment. I love when people comment, even if it is just to say hello! ( I get the little email notification and get all giddy with excitement. Trust me when I say that everyone in my home knows when I get a comment because I scream YAY really loud.

My favorite is A Coupla Shades of Taupe: A Parody! Just strikes me as hilarious for some reason.

I think I like Fifty Shade of Beige best. Cuz beige? NOT a cool enough color to have that many shades!! (Unless we're talking about paint. Which I'm thinking we're not.) ;-)

I love the parody AUTHOR names even more than the titles! Oh, and I've read Fifty Shades of Snow White - it is awesomely hilarious :-D

Kinda glad none of my books are "Fifty Shades of"... anything.

A coupla is 'a couple of'. Maybe this is purely an Aussie thing due to the way we run our words together!
